Dilip Sundaram named Mahindra Korea president

Mahindra Group on Monday appointed Dilip Sundaram, senior vice president of Mahindra Korea, as president of Mahindra Korea.

He is being commissioned to work closely with the respective businesses and functions of the Mahindra Group to create new business opportunities in Korea and deepen relationships with existing local business partners, the group said.

“Mr. Sundaram has deep experience of the Korea business, and his insights and knowledge across our global and local investments will be key to our long-term business strategy in this market,” Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra Group said.

Sundaram joined Mahindra & Mahindra in 2010, and served as chief financial officer and senior vice president at Ssangyong Motor until 2013. Before that, he worked at United Technologies Corp. and at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, after earning an MBA at the University of Rochester, and is from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mahindra remains the largest Indian investor in Korea due to its acquisition of Ssangyong Motor in 2011. It launched Mahindra Korea in 2013.
