Producers should not arbitrarily create new scripts from scripts written by writers using AI or ask writers to modify scripts created using AI. <p>The movie Minority Report, starring Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise, has created a variety of issues not only in terms of art but also in society. Tom Cruise’s main character, John Anderton, is installed throughout the city and undergoes eye transplants to hide from the identification iris recognition system.Unlike the movie, eye transplant surgery still has a long way to go in reality. However, the concept of ‘pervasive individual identification systems’ is almost becoming a reality. Among them, today we’re going to talk about facial recognition technology!</p>
<p>Most facial recognition systems are built on the concept of a ‘cooperative system’. A method of contrasting an image taken while looking directly at the camera at a predetermined distance with appropriate lighting against a validated image stored in the database. This type of system is widely used in border control and physical security systems.</p>
<p>A more interesting concept is the “non-cooperative systems” that recognize specific faces in the crowd. I have to recognize people who are wearing glasses, scarves, hats, or even moving when both the lighting and the angle of the face are my own! An Australian company called Imagus Technology has developed a crowd facial recognition system that does this. However, the Korean company “GB Soft” has also developed Citnem with mobile phones and cameras, and has been applied to the construction industry and driving drivers to show their performance.</p>
<p>The facial recognition system constructs statistical models of faces with low-frequency textures such as skeletons. There are systems that take advantage of very high frequency features such as spots on the skin, eyelashes, wrinkles around the eyes, but they require very high quality images. Low-frequency information is much more appropriate because the movement is blurry and the camera angle changes in the reality that people pass by!Biometrics is also rapidly being introduced to facilitate payment systems and prevent fraud. The most popular biomarkers are fingerprints and facial recognition. It is typically built as part of a dual-factor authentication system. In 2016, MasterCard launched the Selfie Pay app for faster and safer online purchases. If you send a selfie when paying online, you can immediately authenticate it.Fingerprint recognizers are not installed on all mobile phones, but cameras are on almost all mobile phones. In the future, when biometric with proper security features is introduced as part of a multi-factor authentication process, it is expected that numerous apps and websites will not have to write passwords one by one.Facial recognition systems are used not only for identification but also for various marketing and demographics. Perhaps this is why many companies advocated interest and application when introducing “GB  SOFT”.For example, you can count the number of people who see ads or displays in a store, differentiate gender and age groups, and generate a variety of data, such as when you saw ads. This data can be used effectively for target marketing and advertising!</p>

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) is realizing the concept that would appear in science fiction movies. Humanoid robots such as “Pepper” are equipped with special emotion recognition software that responds to human emotions. This could also be an important advertising and marketing asset.New technology is always a double-edged sword. Biometrics and advanced emotion detection technologies are no exception. People use biometric systems to benefit from faster and safer e-commerce and faster airport security checks. But the confidence that businesses manage biometric data securely and use it for stated purposes only must be supported!Another problem is the difficulty of controlling emotion recognition technology. It’s not long before we can record and analyze people’s emotions in real time with advanced augmented reality glasses or lenses during business negotiations. What about having a sincere conversation with your family or friends? Emotional information can’t always be beneficial, right?</p>
<p>Facial recognition technology has already entered the stage of proliferation. For example, a ubiquitous security camera is connected to a vast array of cloud computing resources over a broadband network. The only thing that’s missing is software. If reliable software is developed, face recognition in crowds will be a matter of time.</p>

Statistics collected from 1964 to 2012 since the introduction of industrial accident insurance show that the incidence of industrial accidents has steadily decreased, but the number of industrial accident deaths has not decreased. According to the statistics, the gap between the incidence of industrial accidents and deaths per 10,000 people significantly fluctuates. This gap was particularly noticeable in the 1990s. In 2012 alone, the number of workers who died in accidents while working reached 2,165. Accordingly, the Korean government announced the enforcement decree as follows.</p>

<p id="block-1abd0840-4bf8-4710-88aa-d4a0423dfa97">It is a bill that strengthens criminal punishment for employers in the event of serious accidents such as death accidents in companies, and passed the plenary session of the National Assembly on January 8, 2021 in Korea. The Severe Disaster Business Punishment Act stipulates the level of punishment, such as imposing not only risk prevention obligations but also criminal penalties on employers and management managers when they violate their obligations and lead to serious accidents. While the current Occupational Safety and Health Act punishes corporations only if they violate safety and health regulations, there is a difference in priority in that business owners are also held legally responsible separately from corporations.<br />Meanwhile, legislation has been discussed as a petition filed by Kim Mi-sook, the mother of Kim Yong-kyun, a non-regular worker who died while working at a Taean thermal power plant, under the title of &#8220;Petition for the enactment of the Corporate Punishment Act for Safe Workplaces and Society&#8221; on August 26, 2020.</p>
<p id="block-1cbf4318-52a3-4ec5-a2d4-a143ad061da4">First, disasters are divided into serious industrial accidents and civil disasters. The former means one or more deaths or two or more injuries due to the same accident, and the latter means one or more deaths or 10 or more injuries due to the same accident. The scope of the management manager subject to the legislation was defined as the CEO or the director. According to this law, business operators must establish manpower and budget necessary for disaster prevention and measures to prevent disaster. In addition, it is obligated to take measures to fulfill its obligations under safety and health laws and implement corrective measures ordered by central administrative agencies and local governments, such as improvement and correction. If more than one person dies due to failure to fulfill these obligations, the CEO or manager will be sentenced to up to one year in prison or fined up to 1 billion won. Jail and fines can be imposed simultaneously. If two or more injured people need treatment for more than six months or three or more people with diseases prescribed by Presidential Decree within one year, they will also be punished by imprisonment for up to seven years or a fine of up to KRW 100 million won. Corporations will be fined up to 5 billion won when more than one person dies and up to 1 billion won when two or more injured people need treatment for more than six months. The compensation for damages of a corporation is up to five times or less of the amount of damage. However, it stipulated that a fine shall not be imposed if the company fails to pay considerable attention and supervise the work in order to prevent violations.<br />Workplaces with less than five employees are exempt from punishment, and the enforcement of this law takes effect one year after promulgation. Businesses with less than 50 employees will be suspended from applying the law for two years after the promulgation, and will be applied from 2024 with a total period of three years. Regarding the Severe Disaster Corporate Punishment Act, the management community argues that corporate activities will shrink by making companies take excessive responsibility, and critics say that it is difficult for companies to prepare for the enforcement of the law due to ambiguous provisions. On the other hand, the labor community protested, saying that the legislative purpose retreated as the grace period was prepared and the level of punishment was lowered.</p>
<p id="block-5f20fb0a-b627-45f6-ae44-425ee5b213e2">Prior to this enforcement decree, GB SOFT was already applying solutions to large Korean companies and many workers&#8217; workplaces that combine video and artificial intelligence. More than 16 construction sites in Daelim Construction and large-scale workers&#8217; companies of Hyundai Motor&#8217;s Chinese plant and Lotte Engineering &amp; Construction have also been tested and reviewed to introduce the company&#8217;s solution to Japanese global companies including Omron, Datascope, and Toyota.</p>

<p>Infomining in South Korea has currently registered five domestic patents related to medical AI, including single measurement systems, emergency monitoring, hospital control systems, smart quarantine systems, and information provision technologies and systems for disease diagnosis and medical institutions. Two solutions, including natural language processing using artificial intelligence and an electrocardiogram measurement system, have been recently applied for domestic patients.</p>

<p>Natural language processing technology enables natural conversations for patients’ self-diagnosis through AI. For example, if a patient asks, &#8220;I coughed a lot. Why do I cough?&#8221; and the AI illogically replies back, &#8220;Did you cough?”, we should conclude that the solution is useless. At least, the fully-fledged AI has to chat to ask you questions like “Do you have pain in your stomach, too?”, &#8220;Which part of your lower or upper stomach hurts?&#8221; or so on. The accuracy of natural language processing AI developed by Infomining is 90%. In other words, 9 out of 10 answers are appropriate for the situation. This is far above the accuracy of the widely known GPT or BERT-based natural language processing AI model (50-72%).</p>

<p>Recently, Infomining&#8217;s AI electrocardiogram measurement system has surpassed the level of Google and IBM. The disease was predicted with about 84% accuracy in the F1 score, a medical indicator related to ECG. Google and IBM had this value of 83%. This technology was selected as the best prize in the &#8220;Echocardiogram/Echocardiogram AI Model Dataton 2021&#8243; on the 15th. Currently, it is preparing related papers to submit them to the world&#8217;s most prestigious AI conference, NeurIPS (Nips).</p>

Gordon Moore, a researcher at Fairchild, revised the law to 24 months in 1975 in anticipation of doubling the capacity of microchips every 18 months. It is about the speed of microchip development, and the law is that the amount of data that can be stored in a chip increases rapidly.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Quantum computers realize an unimaginable computational speed by simultaneously performing computations of 2n&#8221; distances from n bits, using &#8220;quantum bits&#8221; that can take both forms of 0 and 1 at the same time. There are two types of quantum computers: a &#8220;quantum gate method&#8221; that can be calculated universally and a &#8220;quantum annealing method&#8221; that specializes in solving combination optimization problems. <p>AI Yangjae Hub was established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in December 2017 as a special cluster for growing creative talents, innovative companies, and promoting exchanges. AI Yangjae Hub, as reflected in its name, specializes in cultivating and promoting the AI industry.</p>

<p>It is located in Yangjae R&amp;D campus. Yangjae district is 10 minutes away from Gangnam and Yeoksam districts which are known for high concentration of wealth, finance and business, and 15-20 minutes away from Pangyo district which is emerging as a new IT techno valley. It is also surrounded by gorgeous green areas, including Yangjae citizens’ forest and Umyeon mountain. There are several research institutes nearby which are run by large conglomerates such as Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, LG energy solution, and KT Corporation. It will be scaled up as a global cluster by attracting more domestic and foreign universities, research institutes and companies related to future information technology industries such as AI and big data.</p>

<p>In a conversation with Los Angeles Times Asia Journal, the director of AI Yangjae hub, Jong-yung Yoon, explained major programs and his vision. According to the director, as of June 2021, Approximately 88 SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) and start-ups are stationed in AI Yangjae Hub. The center leases cozy workspaces for them at low rents, which is also equipped with venues for open communication, collaborative spaces, meeting rooms, rest lounges and several office equipment and services. Actually, being offered a workspace on an affordable rent in Yangjae district is a quite big benefit for startups. Director Yoon explains that he thinks support for startups with weak financial status starts from securing stable and comfortable working conditions.</p>

AI Yangjae hub would play a crucial role for the development of the AI industry in South Korea. As the Seoul metropolitan government plans to develop Yangjae as an artificial intelligence industrial complex, the potential scalability of the center is expected. <p>Wearing the traditional Korean dress of hanbok, Sophia participated in a panel at a forum hosted by the Artificial Intelligence Industry Association in downtown Seoul.</p>
<p>The human-like robot was developed by AI developer David Hanson of Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics and has been made a full citizen of Saudi Arabia. This makes Sophia the first robot in the world to attain such a status.</p>
