<p> Seoul Beauty Fashion Lounge “B the B,” which was introduced together at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), has been drawing explosive responses since its opening on September 30. B the B was created as an experiential exhibition space where citizens and foreign tourists can freely visit and naturally experience Seoul’s beauty and fashion culture. “B the B” was visited by about 100,000 citizens for about two months after its opening through various field events and SNS-oriented promotions, and has produced more than 7.8 billion won in sales support through collaboration with online platforms.</p>
<p>Seoul Beauty Fashion Lounge “B the B” is a beauty fashion brand product exhibition and experiential space in the DDP design market, and consists of four lounges: Brand, Lifestyle, Beauty Tech, and Communication.</p>
<p>“B the B” is a space brand that means “Be the Beautiful” and contains the message of “a space where you discover yourself to be a beautiful person through a new perspective and experience on beauty.”</p>
<p>Seoul Beauty Fashion Lounge “B the B” provides citizens with new public value by harmoniously organizing four different spaces around interior design that adopts the concept of BioPhilia (human instinctive love for nature and life) of coexistence with life. <p>Recently, as COVID-19 regulations have been eased a lot in Japan, demand for cosmetics and other products is increasing again, and demand for classes where makeup is received is also increasing. The beauty market has suffered a lot in the past three years. However, although it has recovered, the same things are not popular as before, but they are showing a different appearance than before.</p>
<p>In particular, the part where such a change appears to be significant is the men’s cosmetics line, whose sales have increased more than five times compared to before COVID-19.</p>
<p>In the past, more and more men are wearing makeup in terms of self-management, such as men who are not interested in makeup or are passive. There is an increasing interest and demand for cosmetics that can easily organize skin texture, not just color makeup.</p>
<p>Men also saw a surge in demand for basic cosmetics and base cosmetics, which often caused skin problems as the time to wear masks increased for a long time.</p>
<p>As COVID-19 causes various problems such as skin problems due to wearing masks indoors for a long time, men’s demand for various basic cosmetics has also increased. Previously, basic cosmetics containing only a simple moisturizing function were used, but recently, men have also begun to look for basic cosmetics containing additional functions such as calming effects and skin texture correction.</p>

<p>In the case of men in business, it is important to give a clean image to others because of the nature of their job, so the demand for simple skin makeup has increased, and in the case of office workers, more people want to see their faces on the screen through cameras. This is because men preparing for employment also want to increase the success rate of employment by making their skin look cleaner when interviewing.</p>
<p>In addition, various media outlets have recently recognized that men’s makeup is not feminine, but managing themselves, and broadcasts and videos share makeup tips that men can easily follow, making it easier to access. In order to meet these trend changes and demands, genderless cosmetics brands, cosmetics lines, and men-only cosmetics brands have been launched, including ” COPERNICA,” a skincare cosmetics that can be used by both men and women, and ” Prieclat U,” a skincare cosmetics for both men and women.</p>
<p>Large cosmetics stores have announced that they are hiring male employees for male customers who find it difficult to ask women about cosmetics in line with such trends, and they are currently about 10 people, but they will increase it further. In the case of women, the important part of makeup has changed significantly.</p>

No matter how good the coverage and adhesion of the mask is due to the wearing of the mask, Thai cosmetics are gaining popularity in Japan recently as they are often removed or makeup collapses due to the mask. Since Thailand is a humid area, its cosmetics are characterized by being resistant to water and moisture. Women are very interested in removing or smudging their makeup in this situation because it was a big stress as it is now, and for a while, people have not applied lip products or used them because they are inside the mask for the same reason as base cosmetics, so they are the most erased or buried inside the mask, which is not hygienic. However, Thai cosmetics are solving this problem a little.Like base cosmetics, lip products have very good coloration, but they do not smudge or stain easily, so many people are currently looking for them.</p>
<p>Also, more and more women are wanting beauty lessons recently.</p>
<p>Especially, the age of women who want is female college students who are about to graduate. The reason why female college students came to these beauty lessons was because they had few opportunities to wear makeup because they had to study makeup while preparing to graduate from college and preparing for the interview. It is not just beauty for beauty, but also makeup in a way that can further highlight its original strengths and cover up its shortcomings and increase confidence.</p>

<p>With the constant change in lifestyle the pandemic has brought upon us, we are trying our best to adjust to these adversities. We are trying hard to make a fruitful day by eating and sleeping well. Then, what does it mean to be ‘eating well’? Since people are obsessed with staying healthy, there are new trends in beauty and dietary practice. People who take part in these trends like ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting restrict their calorie consumption to an extreme extent in order to clean their body within a short period of time. While the short term results can prove these methods to be effective, it is far from it. Consistency is important when staying healthy. It is the same as studying. If you want to get a high score in the exam, you should study hard consistently rather than cramming the syllabus in a short period of time. Like studying, if you want to maintain your immune system, you should try hard consistently over a long period of time. You cannot just cram your health.  If you don&#8217;t focus on your health ordinarily, you are prone to getting sick easily.</p>

If natural and organic cosmetics certification systems are introduced from next year, bio-material-based cosmetics should be considered for sustainability from the manufacturing stage. Natural scope also includes organic concepts (Natural Origin), including Animal Testing, Green Chemistry, Fair-trade, Bio-Diversity, Carbon Footprint, and Water Risk Management. At the &#8220;Beautiful Empathy Networking&#8221; conference, Professor Park Joon-sung (Editor of The K Beauty Science) of Chungbuk National University said in a &#8220;Sustainable Cosmetics Material Development Plan&#8221; and stressed, &#8220;Natural resources are important, but new efficacy of existing materials should be discovered and processing methods should be developed. &#8220;Earlier, Professor Park developed △ functional raw materials in Korea (discovering new skin physiological activity functions from new materials, moisturizing, whitening, anti-aging, ultraviolet blocking, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, atopic, hair loss mitigation) △ Natural extracts and functional materials (well-being trend, no-chemists, natural cosmetics-based raw materials. In addition, MINTEL introduced △ Playing Mother Nature △ Campaign Capital △ My Rules △ Private Eye, which was cited as an overseas trend in 2018.</p>
<p dir="ltr">K-beauty emphasizes the functionality that focuses too much on the efficacy. At a time when online and home shopping are struggling to market ingredients and functions, Skin Watchers (CEO Jonghan Yoon), which is faithful to the basics, has exported its products to Europe and Japan. It is not just a sales marketing company, but it forms directly with manufacturing. It focuses on deposition, moisturization, and trouble of wealth, and the ingredients of important raw materials are much different from those of other manufacturers and brands. I wonder if the company&#8217;s operating margin is possible. However, rather than being true, CEO Yoon said that he takes operating margins because he does not directly market other parts such as distribution and containers. Usually, cosmetics set marketing costs from 3 to 10 times in manufacturing. And Skin Watchers is a strategic product that considers intermediate distribution margins, but only considers consumers&#8217; positions.</p>

<p>GB Soft is one of the many companies that LA Times Asia Journal is currently incubating and they have been drawing a lot of attention since. GB Soft developed a solution that captures biometric information through cameras and sends them to an AI server where it can be analysed. This solution was able to gain recognition in Japan after the LA Times Asia Journal introduced GB Soft to Elematec, a specialized trading company of TOYOTA Group. From here, Elematec was able to link GB Soft to Data Scope, a Japanese facial recognition software development company. For reference, Data Scope established a factory in China called Shenzen Data Scope in collaboration with Foxconn in Taiwan.
