How are consumers accepting artificial intelligence (AI) that is rapidly being introduced into various industries? A recent SAS survey of 500 Americans found that consumers felt more comfortable with AI technology in the healthcare industry than in finance or retail. In particular, 47% of the respondents said they would be willing to receive help from artificial intelligence technology even during surgery. In addition, six in 10 (60%) felt comfortable with doctors using data from wearable devices such as Apple Watch and Fitbit to evaluate and advise on their lifestyle. In fact, artificial intelligence is rapidly entering the healthcare sector, providing new solutions to complex and expensive medical problems. At this time, in order to successfully utilize artificial intelligence, an analytical thinking analysis organization must be established, and an analysis platform must be built as part of the effort. Artificial intelligence makes machines learn by themselves from experience, adapt to new inputs, and perform tasks like humans.

Most of the AI cases we hear, from chess game computers to self-driving cars, rely heavily on deep learning and natural language processing (NLP). With these technologies, computers are trained to perform specific tasks by processing vast amounts of data and recognizing patterns. In the medical field, artificial intelligence uses algorithms and software to analyze complex medical data similar to human cognition. The key objective is to analyze the relationship between prevention or treatment techniques and patient outcomes from them. Why do we need an analysis platform?Much investment is being made in both the existing and innovative AI environments, but most AI projects remain in the prototype stage, except for the high-tech industry. So it’s rare to provide the level of business value we expect. The key challenge is to create AI applications that can be run and include them in enterprise business processes. This requires an analysis platform. The analytics platform is a software-based platform designed to gain insights from data in any computing environment. The platform is based on a strategy that drives business activity from analytics insights to support the full analytics lifecycle, ranging from data to discovery to deployment.Build on analytics platforms to develop scalable, integrated security models, i.e. managed and controlled AI applications. This application can also evolve to support the end-to-end analysis lifecycleHow can we use AI to improve the healthcare sector? Applying artificial intelligence to advanced analytical prediction models based on new and historical behavioral data allows healthcare professionals to identify patterns from both statistics and real-time data and make diagnoses using them. Many companies are investing a lot of resources to develop artificial intelligence algorithms. Successful introduction of algorithms into production environments can realize the true value of artificial intelligence. In other words, it can be applied to actual hospitals to produce results. Many healthcare companies are struggling because there is no right analytics platform for this very process.

When a healthcare company begins its journey for analysis, visualizing a data set that tells it where it starts is critical. Companies can add algorithms for more predictive results when they know what to focus on.Improve diagnostic speed and quality: Patients expect to be diagnosed quickly and treated accurately. But not all hospitals meet this. The key is to improve its foundation to increase the speed and quality of disease diagnosis. This allows both hospitals and patients to benefit. Infomining is a company that actually utilizes, applies, and develops these.”When a patient is wearing a MediWatch (real-time bio-signal collection equipment), biological information is delivered to medical staff in real time. Nurses don’t have to go around and check the patient’s condition. If a patient is undergoing outpatient treatment after discharge wearing a watch, it is easy for a guardian to understand the patient’s condition. If an abnormal signal occurs, you can call 119.”Infomining operates ‘Connectac’, a test system that can monitor patients in real time. It is characterized by real-time measurement of blood pressure, oxygen saturation, body temperature, and pulse, allowing doctors and guardians to check at any time. In the event of an emergency, a separate cause of death is marked to manage emergency patients. It also provides a preliminary questionnaire solution using artificial intelligence (AI). When a patient enters basic information and symptoms through chatbot AI before visiting a hospital, all information of the patient needed for treatment is provided at a glance. Medical staff can focus on patient care, and patients can receive better medical services.Infomining is generating revenue by receiving fees from companies that use the solution. ConnectDac has been operating for one year at one large hospital, and the pre-visit system provides services by signing a contract with T, a non-face-to-face treatment company in the U.S. In the future, if it is recognized as a medical device at home and abroad, the number of customers is expected to increase. It has already developed a responsive chatbot for Teledoc Healthcare, the No. 1 in the U.S., and is receiving licensing costs, and is also being verified in Japan (Fujisoft, Omron, and Toyota). Several global pharmaceutical companies have already been invited and are being approached for clinical-related and various uses. Currently, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has almost completed verification to obtain software medical certification and permission.”It is not easy to measure bio-signals in real time. Anyone who has been to the hospital knows well. Now, if a doctor wants to know a patient’s bio-signal, he or she contacts a nurse to measure blood pressure or pulse. Measuring bio-signals is so frequent that it accounts for a third of the nurse’s workload. Measuring this in real time can greatly reduce the number of medical staff. There is no similar type of service so far. Medical institutions are more conservative than expected, so they do not try to introduce new technologies well in the field of medical treatment and examination. For this reason, new services do not appear often. Medical staff and investors also seem to appreciate that. How about the pre-examination service?”It has the effect of shortening medical hours. When artificial intelligence organizes and delivers information related to a patient’s condition, the doctor asks a few more questions and makes a prescription. In the non-face-to-face medical industry, the use of preliminary questionnaires is useful because it can reduce traffic (data transmission).”In the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak, we created a inspection and quarantine system that manages domestic and foreigners who entered Korea. Infomining has developed an overall system that transmits information on immigrants at the stage from entry to facility isolation and stay in accommodation. The inspection and quarantine solution was recognized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and jointly applied for a patent, and was also awarded a commendation for national merit.”We want to upgrade the introduction of Connectdoc services into the field of drug prescription. For example, if you use the connectac service when prescribing blood pressure drugs, you can properly determine the time of administration. Usually, blood pressure drugs are prescribed based on the patient’s blood pressure on the day. However, some patients have problems only in certain situations, such as blood pressure rising when they are nervous. It is not desirable to prescribe blood pressure drugs for these people. If you check the patient’s blood pressure in real time, it will help you prescribe medicine.”

If telemedicine is introduced in Korea, it will be a primary medical-oriented re-examination treatment. That makes it difficult for a strong platform operator to come out.”As there is a view that the timing of the introduction of telemedicine in Korea will be shortened due to COVID-19, interest in the domestic telemedicine introduction model is increasing in the future. If so, how can telemedicine be introduced in Korea. Considering that telemedicine is still illegal in Korea, it is necessary to look at the precedent cases of the United States, which are legalized. According to him, there are various telemedicine models in the U.S., but they can be largely divided into telemedicine models and American well models. The Teladoc model is mainly a platform business that connects consumer needs that want telemedicine and medical providers, such as “Baedal Minjok” and “Uber.” On the other hand, the American Well model helps with the infrastructure that telemedicine can be provided. If telemedicine is introduced in Korea in the future, the American Well model will be suitable. This is because it is difficult to activate the active telemedicine platform business in a situation where there are many concerns about side effects. Since there is infinite competition between costs, there is a concern about the concentration of patients due to telemedicine, he said.

“There is a high possibility that telemedicine will be introduced only for primary care to reduce side effects as much as possible.” He then suggested, “Since the platform is centered on re-examination patients, it will be difficult for active platform solution companies to survive in the end,” adding, “The model is reasonable to install high-quality video cameras or infrastructure for telemedicine.”However, he believed that it would take quite a while to legalize telemedicine. This is because not only medical groups but also civic groups are putting their lives and lives on the line against telemedicine. “The ruling party expected telemedicine to proceed immediately with 180 seats in the general election, but the reality was not so,” he said. “It would have been easy to introduce if the medical community opposed it, but it seems difficult to revise the law because civic groups opposed it for medical profit.

” “In fact, telemedicine and medical commercialization do not have much to do with it, but civic groups seem to accept it as a starting point for commercialization if companies intervene in medical care,” he said. Then, I would like to talk about infomination that has been approached by developing artificial intelligence chatbots and line sensing that can be the core of the platform in Teladoc Healthcare in the U. Although it is an area that has not yet been institutionalized in Korea, a system that can monitor with devices that can help the manpower of nurses and medical staff has been established and is being piloted. It is being implemented at a university general hospital called Sinchon Severance and has good effects and responses. The 24-hour monitoring service not only manages nurse patient status checks more efficiently, but also allows both patients and medical staff to monitor medical conditions optimally in real time. Now, until this year or next year, the software will be a medical worker. Ahead of the approval, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is going through the steps. Maybe it will be a company that can claim to be a leader in medical health care in Korea telemedicine

Informining is a compound word that combines info of information and Mining of data mining, meaning that it will extract information and make something meaningful. Our company’s goal is to provide services to create a world for people with advanced technology. Now, it is starting in the medical field, but after the service for all patients is provided, it plans to expand into various fields. It is difficult to say that it is a company that provides medical services. It’s just a company that develops health monitoring solutions. Among the world’s top five diseases, the artificial intelligence healthcare Hattihati service has been developed to help heart disease patients detect abnormalities and maintain life through 24-hour electrocardiogram and blood pressure checks. Currently, technologies are being developed to help patients in areas other than diagnosis and prescription within regulations.Hattihathii’s major artificial intelligence (AI) services can be largely divided into three areas: calibration AI, electrocardiogram analysis AI, and personalized AI. Here, calibration AI is an AI developed to satisfy the limitation of a smart device as an H/W, and is an AI to increase the accuracy of the device’s measured value compared to a medical device. Second, ECG analysis AI is an AI that checks and diagnoses heart diseases, myocardial infarction, and arrhythmia found in hospitals, and it is an analysis AI that makes it possible to see the heart from 12 angles. Finally, personalized AI is an AI that sets the normal range standard for different biological signals for each person, which alarms risk figures and records them in case of simple abnormal signals. Some have been developed and some are almost finished or are in the verification stage. I took care of my father and mother for more than 10 years. In particular, in the case of my mother, I couldn’t go out alone at home because of blood pressure and heart problems. After my parents died, I felt that there were many problems with similar cases, so I developed an artificial intelligence for medical self-diagnosis, which was selected for a government support project and started a business.Actually, I originally wanted to be a doctor. Of course, the reason was greatly influenced by my parents, but I had to take care of them because of my father’s worsening condition. No one could make money, so in the early 20s, I did a similar job as an intern. However, my mother was fighting various cancers, and my sister also suffered a lot due to her weak constitution.

For a long time, I did not know what to do while caring for my parents, so I went to all offices in Seocho-dong or Guro-dong to tell them stories and circumstances and asked them to work. Consulting seemed to suit my aptitude, so while preparing to work, a warrant flew in and I had to go to the army. After being discharged from the military, I thought about my career path, took the SAT to go to the U.S., and luckily passed UCLA. However, there was a setback in the plan to go through state support, so I had no choice but to give up. When I entered college and was contemplating another career path, my mother’s illness worsened and I started fighting against the disease, and this time I started caring for my mother again. At this time, he could not enter the house for almost three years, lived in a hospital, and took care of the patient, and the surgery went well, but his mother eventually died due to a recurrence. One of the things that was really hard at this time was that there was no window for patients or guardians to know information at all. I had no means to manage my health at home. Since Korea is a medical powerhouse, the technology for treatment is really good, but the problem is that there is no way to know the information. At this time, I desperately felt that I should know my physical condition and be able to manage it on my own, and this was the opportunity to develop Hearty Hearty. The company’s establishment process has been examined, and the U.S., Australia, Japan, and China are currently making results in providing solutions and measuring data solutions in hospitals and healthcare fields, and it is being programmed and used as a monitoring solution for patients, wards, and doctors through the application of university hospitals in Korea. Based on this, investment and licensing contracts are being made in various countries to apply these performance solutions.

How do consumers accept artificial intelligence (AI), which is rapidly being introduced into various industries? A recent SAS survey of 500 Americans found that consumers are more comfortable with AI technology in the healthcare industry than in finance or retail. In particular, 47% of the respondents said they would be willing to get help from artificial intelligence technology even during surgery. In addition, six out of ten (60%) felt comfortable about doctors using data from wearable devices such as Apple Watch and Fitbit to assess and advise their lifestyles. Compared to these, it is a more advanced company in the platform of excellent infomining, especially in the medical healthcare sector.

In fact, artificial intelligence is rapidly entering the healthcare sector, providing new solutions to complex and expensive medical problems. In order to successfully utilize artificial intelligence, you need to build an analytical organization that thinks analytically, and as part of that effort, you need to build an analytical platform.Artificial intelligence makes machines learn from their own experiences, adapt to new inputs, and perform tasks like humans. From chess game computers to self-driving cars, most of the AI cases we hear depend heavily on deep learning and natural language processing (NLP). With these technologies, computers are trained to perform certain tasks by processing vast amounts of data and recognizing patterns.

In the medical field, artificial intelligence uses algorithms and software to analyze complex medical data at a level similar to human cognition. The key objective is to analyze the relationship between prevention or treatment techniques and the patient’s outcomes. In fact, Infomining is a company that approached this more faithfully through university hospitals and non-face-to-face medical treatment or Chatbot, the largest healthcare Teladoc in the U.S., and Korea’s Sinchon Severance University Hospital, and Japan’s local government. This is the most realistic and practical approach to existing healthcare and medical care through proven technology and artificial intelligence.Another feature of the company is that it can be applied to a variety of fields, such as software, hardware experts, and representatives (Jae-yong Lee) and artificial intelligence development in language and compatibility through customization to industrial groups (Japan’s COVID-19 inoculation center, camping car, smart city’s medical infrastructure system), collective system (Incheon Airport entry and exit management). The company is moving forward to obtain medical certifications and permits with its future moves and investments already received.

Due to COVID-19, the world has experienced a pandemic and has become a “world where it is not natural.” This has caused mixed feelings in markets around the world. As non-face-to-face meetings such as remote classes and meetings became prevalent, the face-to-face industry was reduced and the growth of the digital industry accelerated. And at the heart of it is the digital healthcare industry. Safety controversy and ambiguous guidelines for health-related digital medical services have hampered the digital health industry. However, as COVID-19 intensifies, face-to-face treatment becomes difficult, interest in non-face-to-face telemedicine has increased, and interest in the digital health industry has soared worldwide. Today, we’re going to talk about the digital healthcare industry, which has endless possibilities. Digital healthcare is remote and aims to help you manage your personal health, predict disease, and enjoy a better life by going further from diagnosing and treating diseases. Basically, it has the characteristics of 4P. Predictive, preventive. Patient engagement, personalized/personalized. These four characteristics provide customized services and health care. And because it’s a ‘digital’ healthcare industry, the biggest foundation is data. It analyzes through various personal data, enables telemedicine and care without visiting, and individuals have their own “health doctors.” Data collection mentioned in this part, especially the purpose of care and the area of medical diagnosis prescription, can be raised as a boundary or competition structure between digital healthcare and professional doctors. However, specialists have already recognized digital healthcare as a trend, actively utilized, and used it.

Infomining has built an integrated monitoring solution based on artificial intelligence (based on shared legal data). In addition, basic health measurement wearable devices with simple and accurate accuracy are also produced and produced by themselves.Currently, both Apple Watch and Galaxy Watch have various performances and functions in conjunction with smartphones, and the design considering consumers’ preferences is also excellent. However, it clearly falls short of the area of professional healthcare devices, and consumers are not using it as professional healthcare. Infomining’s devices already exceed the measurements compared to professional medical devices. This has already been tested on university hospital specialists and patients in Korea and is being implemented based on about 100 beds in the actual inpatient ward, and based on this, it is planned to be used in more than 1,000 medical university wards. It can be said to be the core of the smart ward currently being promoted.(Yonsei University Hospital, Korea)

By applying this, it is certainly improving excessive work for medical staff, especially nursing assistants. Usually, Korean university hospital workers are managed 24 hours a day in three shifts, but professional nursing staff must check patients at all times, visit the ward, check their vitals, and conduct medical activities.(Medication and Prescription, Emergency Action) Thus, an integrated monitoring system through a device built with infomining can check and take action through the system in one space. This can be said to be the core of being built as a smart ward.

It was confirmed that not only large hospitals but also examination centers are approaching a number of movements to introduce and cooperate with infomining development technology for daily life pre- and post-care

Lee Jae-yong, CEO of Infomining, is busy these days. In addition to daily meetings and meetings, there are constant calls from home and abroad that they are interested in technology.

CEO Lee Jae-yong contacted Korea and the U.S. (local medical hospitals and institutions in the U.S.) and said, “We are getting calls from ITbook, Kitahara International Hospital, Inocheer Medical Device Company, Inoue Hospital, and Smart City Construction Agency.”Infomining is an AI medical big data company that measures biometric signals in real time and provides disease prediction, diagnosis, and analysis through artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Since its foundation in January 2019, CEO Lee and other executives and employees have been running nonstop for more than three years. All but eight of the 30 executives and employees are developers, so they are “all-in” on technology development. There are three AI teams and each has a software team and a hardware team.

The platform, which will be infomining’s representative application (app), automatically monitors body temperature, pulse, blood pressure, electrocardiogram, and oxygen saturation through smartwatch-based monitoring and analyzes it as an AI model. In addition, customized healthcare services are provided to support detailed situation management and non-face-to-face treatment through self-diagnosis.Hardware is also under development. The ‘Medi Watch’, which is a smartwatch type, has already been developed. This game has already been carried out more than 70% for medical device certification approval in Korea, and clinical trials are underway. It has already been verified to be suitable for efficiency of more than 95%, and specific inquiries about license use or device use are being received in the United States and Japan.

CEO Lee said, “In the second half of this year, we will release the first batch of biomarker (indicators that can detect changes in the body using DNA and metabolites) using MediWatch,” and added, “We will provide cloud-based services so that medical institutions and local governments can easily introduce them.”The technology that is of particular interest from the outside is ‘pre-questioning’. Pre-examination is a service that provides medical staff with age, gender, symptoms, social skills such as alcohol and tobacco, family history, and past history of patients before telemedicine or visiting treatment. It enables more effective treatment in a short treatment time represented by ‘three-minute treatment’.It i s on the verge of a contract with a U.S. telemedicine healthcare company to export pre-questioning technology. It is also looking forward to exporting other technologies by collaborating with this company for technology application for the next five years. It is also discussing cooperation with large domestic companies to establish a non-face-to-face treatment platform in Vietnam. Vietnam is highly interested in the care of cancer patients discharged from the hospital after surgery, so the “post-examination” service will be mainly used rather than pre-examination.

Discussions are continuing, such as holding a meeting for the first time earlier this month. There is another project to proceed in Vietnam. This time, it is a proposal from Japan. Just a while ago, a large Japanese medical foundation is planning to install a general hospital in Vietnam by 2024, and a proposal was made to take charge of telemedicine system solutions in Infomining.CEO Lee said, “There have been various discussions with large companies, but there have been many times when it has not happened,” adding, “Various proposals are good, but we try to be careful until we sign a formal contract.”CEO Lee plans to visit the U.S. at the invitation of a company that will sign a technology export contract between July and August. It is the first overseas business trip since COVID-19. “Until now, sales have been low until last year because of R&D, but this year, it is expected to grow more than 10 times compared to the previous year and grow rapidly in the future,” he said.Already, the healthcare market is a field that has achieved continuous interest and development by combining medical care and IT worldwide. After Pandemic, investment and R&D in collective healthcare are more active, so the role of infomining.

In September 1894, missionaries from the U.S. Presbyterian Church, including Oliver R. Avison and Underwood, who ran Jejungwon (Gwanghyewon), brought Jejungwon’s right to operate from the government to the mission. Missionaries were now able to run hospitals autonomously, but government support was cut off instead.

There was a huge shortage of manpower and poor facilities. In response, Avison and Underwood traveled back and forth to the United States to get donations for the operation of the Jejungwon, and as a result in 1899, Louis Severance (1838-1913), one of the most famous businessmen in the United States, donated a large amount of subsidies to Jejungwon. Accordingly, Jejungwon completed a new hospital in front of Seoul Station on September 23, 1904, and named it Severance Hospital after its sponsor.

Severance Hospital was the first modern general hospital in Joseon. Severance Hospital could take the form of a modern general hospital because of the expansion through Severance’s donation. In addition, since the first medical education was conducted by Allen and Underwood in Jejungwon in 1886, apprenticeship medical education has been conducted in Jejungwon by Avison and others, and in 1899, university-style medical education began in earnest. In 1909, Jejungwon Medical Center was renamed Severance School, and the Japanese colonial days operated Severance Medical School. Meanwhile, a new university course was established in 1915 at the Kyungshin Academy established by Underwood, and the University of Korean Christianity (English Munmyeong) was established, and Underwood was the principal, and Severance Hospital director Evison was the vice principal. In 1917, the Japanese approved the school as a “Yeonhee College.”

Severance Hospital and Yeonhee College, where the core management was the same, have been aiming for integration since its establishment. However, the integration was slow because it was difficult to reach an agreement between various professors and directors. Meanwhile, with the establishment of Kyungsung Imperial University in 1924, the integration of Severance’ exhibition and performance specialists took a rapid rise, and a proposal for the integration of both schools came out in 1926. However, the integration failed due to Japanese interference.

After liberation, in 1946, the Severance Exhibition was Severance Medical School, and Yeonhee College became Yeonhee University, and integrated discussions between the two schools resumed. On the premise of the integration of both schools, freshmen from Severance Medical School completed the preliminary course at Yeonhee University from 1949. However, due to the outbreak of the Korean War, the integration of the two schools was stopped. After the ceasefire, the launch of the integrated Yonsei University was formalized in 1955, and the foundation was established in 1956, followed by the official opening of Yonsei University from the new semester on January 5, 1957. Severance Medical School has become a new Yonsei University medical school named after Yeon-hee and Severance.

Since then, construction has begun to expand and relocate the saturated Severance Hospital from a narrow site at Seoul Station to Sinchon, and in 1962, the new hospital and medical school building were completed and relocated. The Yonsei Foundation Severance Building was built in 1993 at the site of an old hospital in front of Seoul Station. The building itself is not a hospital, but a general office building or a health check-up center called Severance Check-up.

Hospital buildings are now divided into quite a large area by continuing to add wards and hospital buildings around the old main building (Jejunggwan), which was built in 1962.

Around 1990, new hospitals boasting state-of-the-art facilities such as Asan Hospital and Samsung Hospital were opened in Seoul, causing some changes in the positions of Seoul National University Hospital, Severance Hospital, and St. Mary’s Hospital, which were the big three in Seoul in the past. Outpatient treatment was still conducted around the main building built in 1962, but the problem of aging facilities and lack of space was serious, so a separate “Ophthalmology Hospital” building was built next to the main building in 1996.

Severance Hospital built a new main building to replace the old main building and completed it in 2005. Since then, old buildings have been sequentially demolished and new buildings have been built there.

Severance Hospital signed a contract in January 2022 to introduce artificial intelligence solution programs to 150 wards with Infomining’s Hatti Hearti Solution Health Watch Device (blood pressure/electrocardiogram/blood sugar/body temperature). Severance said it will gradually push for 2,000 wards and 1,500 wards newly built on Songdo, Incheon, following 150 wards. Now that non-face-to-face treatment and patient care around the world have become an inevitable reality, it is thought that this solution is used because the efficiency and accuracy of infomining are comparable to those of general medical devices.Currently, Infomining’s health watch device is about to be reviewed as a medical grade device in Korea, and is being introduced and promoted by large university hospitals such as Yeungnam University Medical Center and Chungnam National University Hospital.

Telemedicine allows patients to use video call equipment at home without going directly to the hospital, or to connect to a doctor at a uniformly installed telemedicine facility to conduct face-to-face examinations such as interviews. Diagnosis and prescription are made without facilitation. If an imaging test was performed or a blood test was performed, all of them must be available to the doctor at the same time for complete remote treatment.

The original purpose is to first receive telemedicine if a patient occurs in remote areas, and to avoid the hassle of having to go to the hospital every time in managing chronic diseases, even if it is not a wallpaper.

If medicine develops and imaging technology develops as it is now and leads to the world, you can see a foreign doctor remotely, or if you use robotic surgery, you can have a foreign renowned doctor undergo surgery in another country. In fact, the reading of the Department of Radiology can be read by a doctor in any country in the world by sending only pictures. In the case of hospitalization, it is thought that it will be an intensive patient, urgent treatment due to an acute disease, or surgery.

This telemedicine is likely to be activated indefinitely in the future. Almost all hospitals are connected to each other by electronic systems, so anyone can see their personal medical experience anywhere, and no matter which hospital they treat, the records will remain in the national health care institution. In this case, how to manage personal privacy will emerge as a big problem.

No matter what illness you receive at home, you will be able to install a medical monitoring device provided by the company at home, observe the patient on video at all times in the hospital, or check the details of the monitor instrument.

Unlike the above, recently referred to untact medical treatment is a telephone treatment that simply asks over the phone and administers drugs, and is generally difficult to change and especially issues prescriptions for additional medication or informs the test results over the phone.

A typical non-face-to-face treatment is to stay at home and treat people with mild symptoms during the recent implementation of With Corona. It would be possible for a doctor to regularly check the patient over the phone, but it would not be easy to talk to the doctor when the patient suddenly changes or has doubts. I think there will be many difficulties.

Now, in many countries, individual life and individual health are being transformed into a system managed by the state. These telemedicine systems are required to be gradually implemented as national research institutes are established to establish the system. Mammoth research is needed that requires joint participation of medical institutions, doctors, governments, electronic companies, medical insurance organizations, and patients.

Infomining in South Korea has currently registered five domestic patents related to medical AI, including single measurement systems, emergency monitoring, hospital control systems, smart quarantine systems, and information provision technologies and systems for disease diagnosis and medical institutions. Two solutions, including natural language processing using artificial intelligence and an electrocardiogram measurement system, have been recently applied for domestic patients.

Natural language processing technology enables natural conversations for patients’ self-diagnosis through AI. For example, if a patient asks, “I coughed a lot. Why do I cough?” and the AI illogically replies back, “Did you cough?”, we should conclude that the solution is useless. At least, the fully-fledged AI has to chat to ask you questions like “Do you have pain in your stomach, too?”, “Which part of your lower or upper stomach hurts?” or so on. The accuracy of natural language processing AI developed by Infomining is 90%. In other words, 9 out of 10 answers are appropriate for the situation. This is far above the accuracy of the widely known GPT or BERT-based natural language processing AI model (50-72%).

Recently, Infomining’s AI electrocardiogram measurement system has surpassed the level of Google and IBM. The disease was predicted with about 84% accuracy in the F1 score, a medical indicator related to ECG. Google and IBM had this value of 83%. This technology was selected as the best prize in the “Echocardiogram/Echocardiogram AI Model Dataton 2021″ on the 15th. Currently, it is preparing related papers to submit them to the world’s most prestigious AI conference, NeurIPS (Nips).

Smart Healthcare (Digital Healthcare) is an industrial field that deals with information, devices, systems, and platforms on personal health and medical care, and is a comprehensive medical service that combines health-related services with medical ICT (Information and Communication Technology). It is growing rapidly around the world, and is emerging as the most influential convergence field in the era of the 4th industrial revolution.

According to a report released by the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency, the global artificial intelligence healthcare market is expected to reach $754.7 million (about 847.5 billion won) in 2020 from $1.79 billion won in 2015 to 25.6 billion won in 2020.

As artificial intelligence technology is expected to create innovative value in the healthcare industry, global companies are competitively investing in the field of artificial intelligence healthcare, and Korea is considered competitive in the global smart healthcare market as it has the world’s best ICT technology.

CEO Lee said, “We have implemented the performance of global AI or exceeded that level in a certain area. Based on this, we have developed integrated medical solutions and are upgrading technology.”

Kyobo Life Insurance announced on Jan 5th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MyData-based startups to expand financial MyData services.

Kyobo Life Insurance plans to expand its MyData service area with this MOU and accelerate the launch of its upcoming official service. Kyobo Life Insurance aims to launch an official service within this month after obtaining the MyData business license from the Financial Services Commission for the first time in the insurance industry in July last year.

According to Kyobo Life Insurance, the two companies that signed the MOU this time are “Infomining” and “Enable Daon Soft,” promising startups that are recognized for their innovation in different areas.

Infomining is a company specialized in smart healthcare services. It is a startup that has proven its excellence through certification as a technology-specific venture company and winning the AI (Artificial Intelligence) Championship. Kyobo Life Insurance plans to jointly discover and commercialize ideas so that it can motivate customers to promote health and provide customized health solutions through information mining and health data utilization and analysis.

“Enable Daon Soft” is a startup that is developing and operating a military service called “The Camp.” Through this business partnership, Kyobo Life Insurance will promote the development of financial education contents for military soldiers and the development of customized financial products for soldiers.

The company, which won the grand prize in the public sector of the Korea Mobile Awards, provides military enlistment information and community functions for military families through applications. The cumulative number of subscribers is 3.6 million and the number of monthly users (MAU) is 700,000.

Kyobo Life Insurance’s goal is to help people live a healthy and proper financial life. Kyobo Life Insurance said officially, “We plan to create and provide MyData services that revive Kyobo Life’s identity so that customers can understand and take the lead in financial life.

It specializes in AI solutions that patients plan in advance or medical staff use to improve work efficiency. It has developed ‘Hearty Hearty’, a solution with world-class performance in natural language processing and bio-signal analysis. We are currently conducting clinical trials in collaboration with various hospitals and institutions.”

Correspondingly, means of conducting business internationally have been severely impeded.

Despite national efforts to help domestic companies reach the international market, the disparity between pre-pandemic and post-pandemic outcomes has been quite obvious.

Yet even during these less than favourable times, Korean businesses “incubated” by the LA Times Asia Journal continue to be connected to businesses in Japan and prosper.

Korea’s GB Soft (developer of AI technologies that interpret camera images to identify such vital signs as blood pressure, oxygen saturation level, heart rate, and body temperature) signed an NDA with Japan’s Data Scope (a company that develops facial recognition software; it plans to collaborate with Taiwan’s Foxconn to set up a Shenzen Data Scope factory in China and globally distribute facial recognition cameras, security cameras, and the like). They continue to meet virtually at present, to discuss licensing and joint development agreements. This is a result of the LA Times Asia Journal facilitating the meeting of GB Soft and Elematec (a subsidiary of Toyota), and Elematec subsequently doing business with Data Scope.

Korea’s Infomining (developer of a system that uses an AI server to analyze one’s electrocardiogram, blood pressure, blood sugar, oxygen saturation level, heart rate, and body temperature gathered from a smart watch and relays the results to a smartphone) is working together with Japan’s OMRON (manufacturer of medical devices) and OMRON’s research laboratory in Dalian, China, to jointly develop innovative medical devices targeted at the Chinese market. An NDA is scheduled to be signed by the beginning of February. This too, is a result of the LA Times Asia Journal facilitating the meeting of GB Soft, Infomining, and Elematec, and Elematec subsequently doing business with OMRON.

Korea’s VODANA (manufacturer of hair straighteners and curling irons), Korea’s Emma Healthcare (manufacturer of Plasma Skincare Device), and Korea’s Skin Watchers (manufacture of cosmetics) have already completed their exports to Japan’s Clean First (Trading Company). Clean First, in partnership with Japan’s Toda (Trading Company), has scheduled its entry into Don Quijote (a Japanese discount store). They are also planning for sales on such online platforms as Japan’s Makuake (Cloud Funding company). This too, is a result of LA Times Asia Journal facilitating the meeting of VODANA, Emma Healthcare, Skin Watchers, and Clean First.

Like so, it is expected that the “Incubating System” put into place by the LA Times Asia Journal will continue to connect Korean and Japanese companies and to catalyze business activities between them.

Artificial Intelligence is abbreviated as AI.It is called an action by a machine that can be called intellectual behavior if performed by humans, and is a study on how to enable computers, machines, to do what humans are better at.If we go far and interpret it, it can be said to be the principle of our people’s minds. What is the purpose of artificial intelligence? First, it is to make it smarter than humans, second, to understand human intelligence, and third, to humanize such machines.Currently, artificial intelligence is located in many areas. To point out the most representative thing, everyone has a smartphone. You can see a lot of artificial intelligence technology everywhere in your life.Examples include state-of-the-art AI equipment other than robot vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, washing machines, and television CCTVs used in learning artificial intelligence companies, homes, and public institutions that can think and learn like humans.

It has the advantage of reducing chores and complicated tasks by fast and accurate work processing and hard work on behalf of people. It is convenient as AI artificial intelligence technology has developed, but on the contrary, it will have disadvantages, right?A typical disadvantage is the job problem. As artificial intelligence does many things, many jobs will disappear in the future.Except for jobs that exclude mechanical and simple human creativity, most people borrow the power of artificial intelligence, and many people’s tasks are solved by artificial intelligence alone. So in the future, we expect that there will be good prospects for things that artificial intelligence cannot do, that is, IT fields and creative jobs that think, create, and manage artificial intelligence. So, I would like to mention the two companies and their characteristics. By measuring and detecting the biorhythm of infomining (CEO Lee Jae-yong) with a device, an artificial intelligence solution was established that approaches (blood pressure, oxygen saturation, blood sugar, electrocardiogram) almost close to the medical area.

Already, the company has completed pilot projects and tasks with commercial technology at the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is developing in line with the untact era led by the government. In order to verify this, experts are revealing that their planning topics have been published as papers to the society, reaching an almost unrivaled level in the use of existing artificial intelligence. In addition, GB SOFT (CEO Park Ki-bum) combines artificial intelligence solutions with video analysis technology and is currently showing performance and prominence with a planned approach to Lotte Engineering & Construction’s apartments, duty-free shops, and Hyundai Mobis’ employee work management.

What will change the future society due to the development of artificial intelligence?Automation and intelligence will be developed in the manufacturing and service industries to improve production and product quality, and the quality of services will be greatly improved through complementary cooperation between humans and artificial intelligence. In addition, companies that have been abroad due to productivity and labor costs will foster and R&D industries so that reshoring does not fall further behind in the past.

For example, Info Mining is still approached in collaboration with the Medical Foundation (Hyundai Asan Hospital, Gangbuk Samsung Hospital, Myongji Medical Foundation) after receiving a solution through individual health care diagnosis from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. gb soft has also been introduced into the security system for large-scale apartments of Daelim Industrial Development (Korea’s top civil engineering development company) and Lotte Engineering & Construction for development management. If artificial intelligence replaces almost everything with automation, there will be many changes in existing jobs.About 45% in 2025.

It is predicted that it will be replaced by automated artificial intelligence robots. However, it is said that only 5% can replace humans. Even if part of the work is replaced by artificial intelligence, the role of people is essential, and machines and people must strive for an efficient life. Then, it should be noted that the number of on-site workers is decreasing, and the management and development personnel are increasing and specializing due to these two companies. The quality of human life will be much improved by the provision of advanced and intelligent services by artificial intelligence.

Robotic technology development and welfare services, which act as helpers, are also improved due to future super-aged social problems, which can quickly and accurately replace and compensate for things that are difficult for humans to do.Developed artificial intelligence technology can increase human quality of life, but if the level of automation development is too high, it may become unethically uncontrollable or be abused out of purpose.Hacking of artificial intelligence and bombing using drones can cause numerous side effects by manipulating machines in my home and entering deep into my private life without even realizing it.

Recently, a video of a Hecker in the U.S. sharing the real life of a Korean apartment was leaked. To prevent this, research on the empowerment of artificial intelligence and laws and regulations should also be conducted. The development of technology can lead to the development of the industry due to improved quality of life and increased productivity, but numerous problems arise unless countermeasures such as misuse and malfunction are prepared.

Efforts should be made to have future competitiveness while minimizing negative effects and maximizing positive effects.
