President Park Geun-hye returned to work Monday after a weeklong absence caused by fatigue from her South American tour.
Park had “recovered enough to return to work,” presidential spokesman Min Kyung-wook told reporters.
She was to preside over a regular meeting with her top aides in the morning before meeting with the EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and a delegation from the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington-based think tank.
Park had been resting at her official residence due to stomach cramps and a sore throat caused by fatigue upon returning from her four-nation trip to South America on April 27. (Yonhap)
