Hanbit Green-Bio, a South Korean company, has been developing cosmetics with the goal of providing products and services that benefit skin and health by using natural and organic ingredients. They are jointly developing with Korean herbal medicine cosmetics department of the university and industry-university cooperation in Korea and “Beta-BioGEL” is the first product developed by inventive technology.
The Beta-BioGEL is made of a component called beta-glucan. Beta-glucan is a natural cell wall polysaccharides found in yeast, fungi (including mushrooms), some bacteria, seaweeds and cereals. Natural beta-glucan not only possesses many health promotion effects on human health, but also on skin health. Beta-glucan is effective for dermatitis, eczema, wrinkles, pressure sores, wounds, burns, diabetic ulcers and radiation burns. Additionally, according to scientific reports, beta-glucan is a film-forming moisturizer, a biological response modifier, and a promoter of wound healing.
Hanbit Green-Bio invented a beauty mask sheet called ‘Elimina’ using beta-biogel. There are three types of the mask sheets by body parts – face, neck, eyes and breasts. One of the characteristics of ‘Elimina’ is that the entire mask sheet contains beta-biogel. There are no side effects because it is made with a natural preservative system. Lastly, ‘Elimina’ mask sheets provide different sizes like self-customization with great tensile strength.
Hanbit Green-Bio was awarded the “Most Impressive Design Producer Award” at the Seoul Fair in 2013 and also the silver prize at the 7th Korea Beauty Expo (K-BEAUTY EXPO 2015) with ‘Neck Kiss’, which is a neck wrapping mask sheet. In addition, ‘Neck-kiss’ also won a silver medal at the K-BEAUTY 2015 Editor’s Choice Awards by the 24-hour Chinese media. The ‘Neck-kiss’ is characterized by supplying nourishment and moisture to the neck, which helps reduce wrinkles and provides a smoothness of neck skin.
According to President Eun-Cheul Han of Hanbit Green-Bio, the company is opening to the Chinese market by signing contracts with cosmetics and mask sheets in 2017 for shopping complexes in Qingdao, which is the top GDP of 17 cities in Shandong province, home to the world’s largest consumer electronics brand.
