The problem of global environmental pollution has always been an issue. The amount of waste material coming from the world is up to 750 million tons per year. Sewage and food waste have been abandoned in the sea or land filled, causing serious environmental pollution problems. The problems of seawater pollution, lack of landfill and soil pollution have reached to an extreme situation. We are currently using gas, petroleum, coal, and nuclear energy in daily life. Those pollute the environment and threaten our lives. As a result, interest in alternative energy, especially waste to energy is increasing all around the world. Waste to energy is a technology that converts waste-material to produce fuel and energy. It means that waste of high energy content among combustible-wastes generated in the workplace or home can be used as energy for industrial production activity through various processing methods. Waste to energy is economically feasible because the cost of raw-material waste is inexpensive and can receive waste collection fees. In addition, it has the advantage of reducing the problem of landfill and reducing the generation of waste, thereby achieving the effect of preventing environmental pollution.

CEO Soo-Hyuk Choi at Ilyang ENG is a plant specialist in LCD and semiconductor of sapphire glass and LCD film. Ilyang ENG is a Disk Rotary Multiple Stage of waste materials specialist company. Choi’s company has been playing a pivotal role in fueling, feed-stuffing and composting by fusing accumulated technologies and ideas to the waste drying industry plant. The name of the machine that Ilyang ENG is using now is the Multistage Disk Dryer Rotary (MDDR). Compared to the general machine, the MDDR is cheap to operate and it has excellent in drying quality and economic feasibility. One of characteristics of the MDDR is can re-use of heat in three steps; disk, composite-burner, and circulation. Compared to the conventional machine, it has a total of 18 disk areas and a distance of 900M or more. The Plasma, which is one of functions of the MDDR, improves air quality by changing oxygen to a negative ion after electronic deodorization in air. Additionally, the functional of technology is Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) and Vacuum Evaporation Concentration.

MBR is the technology to completely process solid-liquid separation and disposes of activated sludge, aeration, and suction filtration. The membrane is applied to the selection of the hollow fiber membrane, flat membrane, and tubular type. Disposal of wastewater with high concentration of organic pollutants can be completed satisfactorily by application of evaporation concentrator. In addition, stable and reliable separation of pollutants enables to maintain perfect treated water quality.

Ilyang ENG is the first company to support the pilot production facility that can commercialize the first metallurgical-coal in South Korea and to support the new feedstock, using new and renewable energy and food-waste. In addition, it has been evaluated of value as a company capable of supplying renewable energy to many places by submitting machine supply contracts and proposals to the waste disposal plant. Particularly, the supply of MOU is rapidly increasing due to mechanical structure and advantages of metallurgical coal.
