It’s safe to say that humidifiers are quite underappreciated when it comes to helping people go through their daily lives with ease. Most people are unaware of the benefits of having such a device in their household. Humidifiers have proven to maintain the overall balance of a room’s temperature, and they even have some health benefits. People usually use humidifiers when they’re sick with either a fever or a cold. Although they’re mainly used during the winter, they can also be used for all seasons since humidifiers help with certain conditions such as dry skin or allergy symptoms. A company in South Korea called Elssen has developed a device called Minael that is more interactive than a typical humidifier.
Minael contains a temperature smart sensor and a LED touch lamp which flashes different colors depending on the device. Although Minael can also function like a normal humidifier by checking the temperature conditions of the room and humidifying, it can be controlled through Bluetooth and the smartphone app. Aside from those features, Minael also offers a timer function and acts as a light for portable illumination. The lamp function of the Minael is also activated by a touch sensor, or it can be controlled through the smartphone app.
The smartphone app that’s paired with the humidifier gives real-time updates about the current temperature conditions of the room. The user can also control when the humidifier and the lamp on the Minael is turned on or off through the app which is controlled by Bluetooth. The app also offers a timer so the user doesn’t have to manually control the device themselves and set a time frame for when they want the device on.
The Minael comes in three different colors that are aesthetically pleasing for such a well-functioning device – Indie Pink, Pale Blue, and Coconut Lime. It’s a relatively lightweight device, weighing merely 250 grams. This is also another reason why the Minael is so convenient; it’s easy to move around whereas other generic humidifiers tend to be heavier and contain loose parts.
Humidifiers are generally an underrated device, and people don’t always see the benefits or convenience of using one. However, Elssen successfully attempted to change that idea by creating a product that has multiple functions in one device. The Minael proves that something generic can provide more for people than they would expect it to.
