Take a shot of soju with Psy

Psy is the new spokesmodel for Hite Jinro’s Chamisul soju. The limited edition of Psy Chamisul soju, graced with PSY’s face, has been out since August 1st and is available in the U.S. The new bottles are sold in two colors (blue and yellow) and two sizes (375 ml and 750 ml) for a limited time only! It is available in Korean markets and earlier this week, it has been released in Korean restaurants as well as bars.

 

From September 4th to September 14th, Psy soju’s first debut was in New York, where New York’s Koreatown, Manhattan, Yankees Stadium and specific stops around Queens had surprising visits by the PSY Team. The PSY Team consisted of a Psy-impersonator and his entourage who visited various restaurants and bars, providing exciting games of spinning the Psy impersonator for prizes.


Hite Jinro also utilized the digital platform to spread the debut of Psy Chamisul soju. YouTube viral videos, uploaded by “psysulshow”, are of Psy taking shots of Chamisul soju. It is definitely an entertaining and educational campaign, where it reflects the drinking culture of South Korea and it shows that there are multiple ways of taking a shot. From “Elbow Shot” to “Respect Shot”, “Liquid Courage Shot” to “Domino Shot”, be sure to get yourself a bottle of the limited Psy Chamisol Soju and try the different variations of taking a shot of soju the Psy “Gangnam” style.
