Among all the Oktoberfest celebrations, the one held at Fairplex is the largest Bavarian celebration of its kind in Southern California! Opened on October 10th, Oktoberfest has been held on Thursdays to Sundays and this weekend is the last weekend for the Oktoberfest at Fairplex. It encompasses approximately five acres of food, entertainment, beer drinking and fall celebration in a Bavarian-style compound fully decorated to resemble an outdoor German village “Festplatz” and a 30,800-squarefoot “Festhall.” A wide assortment of props, sets, flags & banners, backdrops, boxed trees, shrubs and flowers are assembled to create this cultural metamorphosis.
For entertainment, the Rheinlanders have performed every night on the OomPahPah Stage. The Rheinlanders are a traditional German “Oom-Pah” band. These bands have been heard in the villages and beer halls of Germany, Austria and Switzerland over the past 100 years. The popular dance and folk tunes can get any audience clapping, singing and dancing. Also, popular tribute rock bands have been graced the stage on Oktoberfest. This Friday, October 25th, the tribute band to U2, Joshua Tree will perform and this Saturday and Sunday night, Oktoberfest will end with the tribute band of Santana, Sounds of Santana.

• Weisswurst (Bavarian sweet sausage) served with Brtkatoffelm (German potato salad w/warm bacon vinaigrette) and Wurstalat (salad with marinated meat and spaten vinaigrette)
• Putenschenkelnist (Turkey Leg)
• Maiskolben (Corn in the Husk)
• Schweinskotelett (Pork Chop on a Stick)
