Whenever I recommend a regenerative cream in Korea, I often hear people asking, “Do I need to put on regenerative cream?” and “Do I need to include regenerative cream as a regular routine as well?”
Our skin starts to age from the early 20s. The biggest reason for aging skin is UV rays. Besides stress and oxygen radicals, inflammatory in aging is one of emerging reasons. For instance, especially those who had a lot of acne or seborrhea dermatitis during puberty tend to have thicker and darker skin. These aging effects from excessive development of blood vessels within skin and breakdown of connective tissues caused by severe dermatitis are called inflammatory in aging.
Such progress of aging decreases speeds of creating hyaluronic acid that fills voids between collagen and elastin at dermis, yet it can also increase speed of destroying hyaluronic acid. So, it seems to weaken skin elasticity, widen pores on skin and creates fine wrinkles. This progress further affects epidermis that delivers all the nutrients through dermis, and once epidermis is damaged, it hardly recovers.
Therefore, skin becomes sensitive to physical stimulus such as UV rays, laser treatment and thermal stimuli. Also, its regenerating speed slows down; thus, it increases the possibility of pigmentation. Even when epidermis is not damaged, if dermis cannot get nutrients from epidermis, it causes a quite severe problem such as damage to the skin barrier. If your skin is oily outside, but dry inside along with many acnes and troubles, you need to consider the possibility of damage to skin barrier. Do we have skin barrier? Yes, of course we do. All skin is protected from the skin barrier. The skin barrier is located at the very outer layer of epidermis, called top layer of epidermis that is consisted of keratinocyte with natural moisturizing factors, and lipids between keratinocytes. Such barrier is called hydro lipid film. The most common reasons for breaking skin barrier are innate reasons, such as decreased resistance of skin due to changing environment, stress, drinking, and using skin care products that contain too much AHA, BHA or surfactant. Each individual has different symptoms when the skin barrier is broken. If you have dermatitis, symptoms may vary based on your dermatitis. For instance, sensitive skin may have contact dermatitis when the skin barrier is broken because it increases allergen, which causes allergic reaction. Acne skin gets worse because acne germs dramatically spread out.
If you want to maintain a healthy skin barrier, you need to have good inner-beauty habits so that it can provide nutrients to epidermis from dermis and sustain stronger epidermis. Also, it is essential to put on sun screen that can prevent skin from UVB, UVA. If the skin barrier is broken, the hydro lipid film that protects skin from stimulus gets destroyed. Thus, skin gets exposed more easily to harmful germs. Skin gets extremely dry because moisture within skin evaporates, and skin texture becomes uneven because dead skin cells come up. When the skin barrier is destroyed, keratinocytes are not closely connected, so it makes skin very sensitive. In this case, three substances are needed to reconstruct destroyed skin barrier: keratinocytes, lipids to fill the voids between keratinocytes, and slightly acid atmosphere to mix lipids within epidermis.
Recently, the most noticeable skin care product for skin barrier is a regenerative cream with oligopeptide, which is one of proteins that provoke production of new cells. Oligopeptide is a mixture of saccharide and protein and temporarily permeates into some damaged epidermis cells, increases the density of cells and prevents from epidermis cells from further damages. In this cream, it also contains a substance called madecassoside that prevents skin from bacterial infection. Madecassoside is extracted from Centella asiatica and soothes the skin by suppressing cytokine that emerges when infection occurs and provokes production of collagen that assists regenerating skin cells. With these two substance as base, CIVASAN‘s ‘Sizopirin Celluar Mess Cream’ contains phytosqualane, which is a necessary substance for strengthening lipids between cells, permeates into the skin smoothly and helps to reconstruct hydro lipid film. Besides the above mentioned substances, ‘Sizopirin Celluar Mess Cream’ contains Hydrolyzed Collagen that provides moisture to epidermis and induces to produce collagen.
I recommend a proper usage of regenerative cream to those over the ages of 30 for preventing further progress of aging and protecting the skin from exterior harmful causes. Regardless of age, regenerative cream is highly recommended to avoid pigmentation after treatment. Among various regenerative creams, CIVASAN’s ‘Sizopirin Celluar Mess Cream’ can be one of the best choices for its optimized quality of regenerating skin.
