Now that’s what I call a food coma!

Despite the blazing 110 degrees summer day at the Pasadena Rose Bowl, the stadium was full with many hungry Angelenos on Saturday, June 29 at the Los Angeles Street Food Festival ‘Summer Tasting’ Event. Thanks to the kind thoughts and efforts of the LA Street Food Fest’s staff, expanded tented areas, additional shading in the stadium seating, additional water stations, hand fans, and ice cold non-alcoholic beverages in addition to the ice cold beers and cocktails were provided for attendees.

Although every tent or truck that offered food and drinks was crowded with guests, the area that was always swarming with people was the Ice Cream Social where they offered cool, refreshing desserts like “Puckering Peach Float” at Float, “Strawberry Basil Popsicles” at Sweet Clementine’s Pops, and “Churro Ice Cream Sandwich” at The Churro Borough. The unique, ethnic taste of Mexican cuisine was found at places such as Guelaguetza’s “Micheladas” and Casa Oaxaca’s “Squash Blossom Quesadilla”. The rich f lavors of Asian cuisine was also hard to ignore from Bibigo where they offered their “Bulgogi Bibimbap”, Belly BombZ KBBQ had “KBBQ Wings”, and Bling Bling Dumpling served “Cheeseburger Dumplings”.

With over 75 food vendors and their changes in menus every hour or so, we presume that everyone had gone home happy with a full, and I mean, full stomach at the end of the night.
